High concentration wastewater denitrification process

The denitrification process is a technology specifically developed for high concentration wastewater, such as the sludge dewatering supernatant of industrial wastewater and digested sludge. Compared with other traditional denitrification processes, the significant advantage of denitrification process is its extremely low oxygen consumption, and the conversion into nitrogen does not require organic carbon. This process can be easily installed in existing factories.

The denitrification process can be divided into two stages

Stage 1: Ammonia nitrogen and oxygen undergo a nitrosation reaction to produce nitrite.

Phase 2: Anaerobic ammonia oxidation reaction occurs between ammonia nitrogen and nitrite, generating nitrogen gas.
