High-efficiency Anaerobic Reactor
![]() |
The IC reactor is a highly efficient anaerobic reactor based on granular sludge. The organic matter (COD, BOD5) in the wastewater is converted into biogas and a small part of the anaerobic sludge. The biogas is separated from the water and then fed into the reprocessing system or used to generate electricity. IC reactors are particularly suitable for wastewater containing high concentrations of calcium ions. The conversion of organic matter takes place according to the following strongly simplified equation: COD→CH4 + CO2 + anaerobic excess sludge |
Characteristics of efficient anaerobic reactors
|
◆ High volumetric load, generally about 10-30kgCOD/m3.d, small footprint; ◆ Strong shock load resistance; ◆ Completely closed system, no odor discharge; ◆ Corrosion resistance and long service life; ◆ Serialization, standardized production, reliable product quality; ◆ Simple tower construction and installation (can be relocated in the future); ◆ Short start-up time, simple operation control; ◆ No moving parts inside, no maintenance required; ◆ Wide range of applications with successful operating performance. At the same time, the biogas generated in the anaerobic process can be used recycling. |
